Let’s Discuss Lash Care in a Flash – Must-Know Info on Daily Care

We all desire to have gorgeous lashes but we rarely know how to make the dream come true.

Most of us have no idea about causing (unconscious) damage to lashes. To make things worse, we don’t know how to make them grow longer and healthier. Surprisingly, one small change in lash care routine is enough to make lashes repay you with fabulous appearance, not falling out or getting damaged. How to properly condition lashes so they are strong and lengthy? Discover eyelash care beauty tricks and useful tips!

Lash care – a few facts about tiny hairs

  • The structure of lashes is exactly the same as the structure of head hair. On upper eyelid, there are usually 150-250 lashes whereas on the lower lid – from 50 to 150.
  • A significant number of hair bulbs is non-active and doesn’t ‘produce’ tiny hairs. You can stimulate them to work using suitable products (lash serum).
  • Upper lashes are longer (from 8 to 12 mm) whereas lower lashes are 6-8 mm long.
  • Hair bulb is the living part of an eyelash – it is responsible for the health, strength and proper growth of the lash; it also delivers the highest percent of nutrients to the inside of tiny hairs.
  • A lash lives 100-150 days, then, it falls out to give place to a new, young one.

Lash care – how to care for lashes to keep them looking fabulous?

  • Never go to sleep with makeup (mascara) on.
  • Use mild removers – invasive makeup removal equals weaker lashes; pick micellar water or bi-phase removers which need no rubbing.
  • Bolster your lash bulbs – a lash serum is an innovative and trouble-free product which doesn’t take much time to apply; after several weeks, bulbs are reinforced and stimulated, the life cycle of a lash is extended so it will grow much longer, thicker and more beautiful.
  • Avoid mascaras containing controversial ingredients: most of them include synthetics and dehydrating substances which weaken your lashes.
  • Choose mascaras rich in nutrients – plant extracts and vitamins give the best lash benefits.
  • Give up on a lash curler – it causes lash breakage and damage.
  • Make sure your diet abounds in vitamins, zinc, iron and omega acids.
  • If you like castor oil – don’t overuse it – as it’s more suitable for brows rather than lashes. Why so? It might get into the conjunctival sac, irritating the mucosa and causing blurred vision.
  • Fan of falsies? Remember that the adhesive leaves natural lashes damaged; to make things worse, taking falsies off significantly weakens the state of your lashes and pulls them out.
  • If you’re not happy about barely-visible lash ends, you can upgrade their color right away. Simply treat them to tinting, making them appear longer and better-looking (even after makeup removal).
